I went up to Leicestershire for Gareth's skills session for beginners today. First thing I noticed going through the trail in the woods was there was a loads of rocky bits, don't get much down here. The session was really informative, I tried my hand at a few new techniques like bunny hopping. More practice needed on them. Did a few downhills which everyone got down, well nearly everyone... I was the first ever person to fall off at the viaduct (I fell off twice, 100% record!!) Second time I locked up the back wheel going down by sitting on it and lost control! Doh! Tore a small hole in my lycra liner, I'll probably be a bit stiff and bruised on my right hand side tomorrow. It was fun, I want to try nail that descent (or similar descent) next time. Anyway if you're a beginner I highly recommend going on one of Gareth's skill sessions.
