due to losing confidence in my local bike shops a while ago,regarding after sales service and good advice i thought it might be a good move to get a mtb maintenance dvd,one that explains what to look for,correct tools for the job etc. etc. does anyone have any good recommendations for this.................many thanks in advance!

Why a DVD? zinn and the art of MTB maintenance will do you nicely.

The Park Tools website repair section is always a good place to look you can also try the Big Blue Book

I got the big blue book - but i'm sure it makes everything much more complicated than it needs to be dry.gif

The "Fundamentals" DVD (try Amazon) is mainly about riding skills, but also includes stuff on setup.

dvd arrived this morning, aquick flick thro it looks exactly like what i was needing .the beauty of a dvd is you can see the work actually being done rather than photos/diagrams of it.
