It's an investment Had serious misgivings after pushing the button, but after a four hour ride yesterday with a lot of jumps & drop offs I was cursing my KSi950; 1 year old and its seized. (My first one went back once and then bit the dust). Can't wait for the reverb (which has been faultless on my 6" FS). Yesterday was a return to; stop, pull your saddle up, stop put it down. Then in between obstacles your seat is either too high or too low. Riding without an adjustable seatpost is for mugs or XC riders (my XC bike doesn't have one). -------------------- There do appear to be some hills south of the Trent...

I've got a KS i900 on the Tazer, althought it been fault free it does feels slightly agrigultural now after riding the Reverb and the remote really make for a safer ride.
And good point about saddle height never being correct, always used to ride with a slightly low saddle as a compromise for the single track stuff I normally ride, which was always too low for pedalling uphill and too high when the trail got a bit technical. Now able to run my saddle at optimum hight for pedalling and can drop it to trials/dirt jump hight or anywhere inbetween - sweet A great upgrade. |

Just received the Reverb from CRC. A word to warning to anyone getting this at £199 from CRC; its OEM. No retail box (not a problem) and no bleed kit. Its OK for me as I've already got a bleed kit (I also managed to shorten hoses on my previous Reverb without having to bleed). CRC are selling the bleed kit for £34.99. Maybe they're being clever by splitting up retail boxes? Anyway I'm happy as I didn't need two bleed kits.

That's a good price reduction and the temptation is............................................................ A friend of mine is now on his 4th! Great bit of kit when ti works but he is giving it a last chance, if this one fails then he will be going back to a Thomson until Rockshox fix their quality issues! First and second one rattled themselves to bits, third one made his seat stay fart as the seals went! Fingers crossed he'll be 4th time lucky! |

Well after 14 month and the first day out at Glentress over the weekend the Reverb failed, cutting short the ride which was small blessing in disguise as it it absolutely bucked down just a I got back to the centre.
After popping into Swinnerton's today, they confirmed it was probably a known failure with the valve cartride and I was pleased to hear they will return the post to SRAM (tech) to be repaired or replaced under the warranty (2 years). |

Another Reverb goosed! What keeps giving out on them and how long do they last once fixed?
Also, Scotland... in April Rod -------------------- Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud!
Don't trust government (I'm bitter and twisted over the CROW & NERC BILL) (Mountain biking will be next incidentally) NO, you're OK, I insist YOU go first. ... Told you it couldn't be done! |

Also, Scotland... in April Rod Apparantley it's the first generation of posts Rod and somthing to do with the cartridge/valve. The guy in Swinnerton's indicated that that they have had most of the original batch they sold back with faults. Repairs involves changing out the inner gubbins to the tweeked 2012 stuff or if I'me lucky a new 2012 post. It was deluge, I've experienced drier days walking Snowdon on an Easter bank holiday weekend |

Well went for a ride around Cannock today and after the ride I picked up a brand new replacement Reverb.
I always think the best measure of a business is how they deal with issues, gotta say Swinnertons were spot on, effortless, informative and helpful. A quick nod to SRAM tech for excellent support, these are obviously the guy's to deal with rather than the RS UK importers, who have not been too good from previous experience. |
