Ok then , that's an away day to Cannock sorted !

So , while we're on a roll , what about Afan ?

Sandy Hill has started a ' No excuses ' thread on the New Rides section .

Can we pencil in 14th May ? Got myself & Biggsy80 so far ..... dry.gif

Why you are asking me. Never been rolleyes.gif
My understanding is that there is a very defined, very well signed loop to be don.
So my plan is as follow:
1- get there
2- ride the loop
3-get back
unsure.gif
Now there might be time and energy to do it twice but that would have to be seen on the day.
Anyone who has been there and knows better is welcome to take over from .... about now!

cheers doc, Looks awesome. Did not realise it was 3hrs away, I would

want to get at least 6 hrs riding in to make it worthwhile think.gif

Follow the Dog and

Stile Cop Trail

have a lot of skull and cross bones ohmy.gif dotted around

So, which other Swinley regular biking athletes can get a pass for this one stupidlyhappy.gif

Would expect to get 6 hours riding/on the trails for this one.
Take off 06:30
Ride as we arrive. Lunch on the trail
Ride till about 16:30/17:00 then drive home.

I am planning a ride and camp weekend sometimes Early July. Details coming soon

Get a Cannock regular on board and you can easily fill a weekend never mind 6hrs.

Theres plenty of Cannock regulars on here and i'm sure one will appear to offer there guiding services soon
(i cant as its my daughters birthday weekend and have been told no MTB rolleyes.gif )

If you're planning on 6 hours worth of riding you're going to want more than Follow the Dog and The Monkey Trail

I'd suggest you do Follow the Dog and The Monkey in the morning then after lunch head over the north side for some more natural less ridden trails

You wont need a guide for FTD/Monkey as its fairly well waymarked but if you want to ride the good stuf on the other side you will need a guide

OK
I think the simpler way to go about it for many reason is that we all meat at the Esporta parking across the lookout (everyone knows where it is and parking is plentiful)
So let say we are taking off @ 06:30
I will be there from 06:15 to load the truck with the fun bus riders bikes and gear
Now so that we do not require a trailer for all the stuff here is what you don't need as I will bring mine:
Track Pump
Tool box
Bike stand
What you need bring is what ever extra chain link, tube, repair kit you need to fix minor bike issue on the trail side as it is a long way to go not to ride
Those who have a bike cam, bring it so that we have some recording or what ever trouble we get ourselves into innocent.gif
Bring food, drink, waterproof, dry clothes, bin bag for the wet/sweaty ones, cash for coffee (not sure where cash point is or if local shop take cards)

Destination is WS15 2UQ
Seems like we have to go through the toll road on the M6 what ever way we look at it
So far I have Simon, Ian and Ben with me.
Maj on his own (I would have take you with but I have to pick up my boy in Ealing on the way back so I need a spare seat for him)

Anyone else interested that could keep company to Maj and share cost?
Maj, might want to post a link on the Bike Radar and Tunnel Hill trolls to see if someone else is interested in joining us.

We aiming to get there somewhere between 09:00 and 09:30 and try to take off before 10:00 to avoid the crowd as this is a loop, we will encounter slower and faster riders...

not sure if I forgot anything so feel free to add thing that I might have forgotten...
