i.e Stans with Bontrager? I doubt it. The Bontrager, Specialized and Slime products are all based on a Glycol solution. It doesn't dry out so will not seal a hole permanently like Latex does. Pity as the Specialized product is £4 quid a bottle at the LBS to do two wheels. I'll be looking to do Stans or a close copy shortly onto my Trek. |

Thanks Nick, I'm going to go with the Stan's.
I was dissapointed that the Bontrager stuff wouldn't seal a very small hole in the sidewall, maybe it was just in an akward place. If I layed the tyre onto it's side, the hole would seal instantly, but after a day standing in the shed, it would start leaking again. Stan's will seal thorn punctures in a sidewall so long as the solution gets to the hole and the sidewall is not as thin as paper. -------------------- Get proper instruction www.mountainbikeinstruction.co.uk

This was a pretty small hole. At 60 psi, held under water, the bubbles were coming out seperately (if that makes sense) it wasn't a fast leak but the sidewalls are thin.
