I've decided to go all "Royal" and have two birthdays a year. One pretend one in the summer and the real one in the winter! Both will have choccy cake.

This is the summer one, hopefully. It will be at Haughmond Hill

Rob (Old bert would) will be guiding and I'll be providing the cake!

Haughmond Hill

9.30am start at SY4 4PW

Haughmond Hill is a woodland just outside Shrewsbury. It's like a mini northside Cannock with lots of hidden twisty and interesting singletrack and some brilliant bermed descents. It's got a few short sharp climbs and is probably best ridden on a hardtail and/or SS. It's not very high, around 150metres so rideably in all weathers.

Parking is £1 a day I think and there is an excellent, but small, café run by two delightful young ladies (well young to me!)

This ride would also be good for newbies, who want to try a forum ride, or the less fit as you're never too far from the car park if you need to bail.

Hope so Pete, it was your suggestion last November that gave me the idea!
