If you have been ill and are naturally weighing ok before it then dont really do anything much your body will recover the weight just dont starve yourself, but keep eating healthy and if your hungry , choff I had that earlier in the year and found i weighed back to normal in no time That's the one. A few weeks ago I weighed 74kg, after three days of puking and not eating I was down to 71kg, after a week of normal eating I was back up to 73kg, and the good thing was it was all fat I lost. If you notice your pants are a bit loose and your moobs have gone down a cup size then it's not all bad! You only need to take on extra protein when training hard, if you consume more than your body needs it will just store it as fat. |

Eat 500 clean calories over your BMR per day and you will gain 1lb per week. (1lb = 3500 cals) Dial it in accordingly - 100 cals per day until it works..
Use the Harris Benedict formula to calc your BMR: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculat...edict-equation/ Stick to protein (Chicken, Tuna, Eggs) and fresh steamed veggies to keep it a clean bulk. For carbs - go brown - Wholewheat bread, brown rice, pasta... It will enable a clean bulk - you're right - pies will do it but you'll be asking how to lose weight before long! |

Use the Harris Benedict formula to calc your BMR: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculat...edict-equation/ That site is funny my BMI says overweight, but body fat percentage says athletic and I'e put 4lbs recently. I think probably a pound on both forearms from doing a couple of 20 minute street ride sessions a week. -------------------- -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Last year I did my Achilles tendon then as part of my recovery I took up mountain biking. I the process I've lost about a stone(I wasn't heavy before being 5 11 weighting about 12stone).
Im now trying to put on some weight in the upper body, not the gut. If you have only just got better and eating like you were previous I'd stick with that for a while not not rush things. For me though I'm using whey shakes most days to boast my protein intake. I also started at the gym and get out on the bike as often as I can. I'm not looking start body building so don't think it's just for that. More lean muscle. I'm still only 11stone plus a few. The shake are only to help as my diet probably should include more protein naturally for my goals but can be done using a high protein diet too. If you don't like the gym try press ups that is what I used to do before I took the gym up. The question you need to ask is it body fat or muscle you want to increase or both. Putting on body fat may improve a healthy appearance and doesn't mean you will end up with a gut. Hope it go well and don't over do it |
