hi guys,

sorry for another question on this subject

my lights finally arrived on xmas eve would you believe, what a fantastic xmas present !!!!!!

due to the manic festive period i only got round to using them this week, after a short ride i measured them in work with a volt meter and the battery was about 3.4V (i think) so i charged it last night.

i put just one battery in and expected the red light to turn green after 3-4 hours (the empty slot led remained green) , after 4 & 1/2 hours it was still on red so i switched it off. i checked the battery in work today and it was 4.17V which i suspect is almost fully charged.

i hope i've not been a numpty in thinking that each led refers to each separate "battery slot" and that it was correct to be green for the empty slot and the charging one should eventually change from red to green despite it taking 4&1/2 hours ?

please don't shoot me down for these numbty questions

oh yes big thanks to gareth and the everyone else who brought these lights to our attention, my mate has just spent £300 on a set of trout lights. they are fantastic (2000 lumens) but a lot more expensive to replace after a crash!!!!

Red means charging, green means "doing nothing". I'm slightly surprised it took so long to charge (4.20V is fully charged). I expect that should improve with use- did you get the recommended charger?

If you want to annoy your friend get another 2 P7s and helmet mount one of them smile.gif

Our pleasure! smile.gif

I´m kind of sad that these cheap (and highly effective) lights will probably kill an industry but they do let riders get out on the winter nights who could otherwise not compete with the rich folk. innocent.gif
