Great ride today.
Infact considering the conditions... Bloody Awesome ride!!!
Pretty much did everything we could in swinley ... some twice ...maybe a few bits three times.
Hard going to start with... quite wet and sludgy in places.
Certainly started to dry out by 11. Got really good over in crowthorne woods. I really enjoyed messing about on the drops near the corkscrew. When its dry I WILL do the drop on the corkscrew.

Seemed to me everyone was challenged today... Stamina, courage, equipment.

Thanks to you all for a great morning... Im still buzzing now!

Awesome ride, legs are still burning this morning.

Gezzza I hope you are ok dude - that was a nasty Earth/Gezzza/Bike interaction from where i was looking. But still you picked yourself up and carried on. Respect. worship.gif
Kerr: do you have the photo??

looking forward to the next ride.

cheers

To my surprise i woke up this morning without a stiff neck and the bruising hasn't got any worse.

Had a closer look at the bike today and it would appear i damaged the front mech some how banghead.gif not sure on the front shifter yet.

it was a good ride good to meet some new faces

The injury...

The cause...

From what I understand Gezzza was cranking up a bank at walking pace the, cog went, he dived shoulder first into his bars.
I was ahead a few yards and heard an almighty "snap" then "bang" as he hit the dirt.

He continued on just the big ring for the next couple of hours.

I think the cog snapped in two different places - it was one of those extra light weight jobbies custom made. - Gezzza i afraid you might have to sacrifice a few more grams or perhaps shave your hair or something rolleyes.gif

I had to look a couple of times before I saw the 'cause' - that is well a truely snapped! Looks like you have tested to destruction Gezza so that must mark the lower weight limit....

I'm on full time kids duty: Mrs Rx1 is off to Paris with her sisters.

Might make it to Swinley at some point over the b'hol with the kids though... ph34r.gif

Saturday might be a bit difficult for me. I'm going out with the family because it's my sister's birthday, but we'll see. Sunday would have been better.

Swinley was a bit wet in places today...

Anyone know what they're building in the forest (down the hill and straight on from the man-hole cover)? They're putting scaffolding up, so it looks like it's going to be big.
