Awesome riding this evening and nice to meet some new faces.

It was very dry and loose and i had the small strap on boot undone which must have been the reason why i fell TWICE today.
Max you would have been proud of me. My head got almost buried in the soil. Luckily my shoulder smacked into the tree which kind of slowed me down a bit.

The headlight that rx1 has is bright and is good as the hope jobbies my friend paid £350. Very impressed. i will have to get one and do some night riding (has anyone tried this?)

Kerr was flying today and he is a completely different rider on his new bike. Nice bike Kerr

Is anyone riding this weekend? If not i might go down to gezzas way and some of the south downs.

WHoot!

GREAT RIDE!

Conditions? Fast, loose and REALLY dusty!

Was really funny leading out to crowthorne wood to stop for a moment, turnaround and see everyone appear from the dust coughing spluttering with bikes and riders turned a "Swinley Red".

Thats third time out on the full susser. Really finding it so different. Much less tiring. Inspires confidence.

Possibly be up for a ride Sunday 12th with a friend or 2. Have found some good bits in the past but its alway hit and miss (usually more miss than hit). Dont want the jumps n stuff, just trying to locate all the great bits of single track I'm told there is hidden in amongst there.

Anyone got a decent map or going to be there and willing to show some not too slow (but not fast) riders around?

Doubt I'll ride this weekend, ribs are still achy so I don't want to push it, especially given how often I eject. Next weekend however, that will be a different matter. dance.gif

My signature has some trail maps. Might not help so much as they dont show up or down. most trails can be done both ways. Only a select few are directiontional.

If there isnt a ride on sunday (I think there will be anyway) ask other riders in the woods. keywords are : nineyards, tanktraps, babymaker, laberinth, swanline, gully, corkscrew, stickler.

Think its time they had some proper signage and proper map.

Some of you asked about the cheap digs in Les Arcs last night...

Chalet Arc

Its not posh, but its dead cheap (14quid a night) and a mins (ride) from the lifts.

My sig has the les arcs bike site linked.

Did I mention when Im going? biggrin.gif tongue.gif stupidlyhappy.gif

Not me....bike is hopefully going to be finished during this weekend. All pivot bearings being replaced, new bottom bracket, wheel re-build and new headset. So not done much riding at all since I came back from Wales or to be honest any physical exercise as I''ve been too cream crackered with my current commute (train) up to london. Will be looking to ease myself back in to it soon so will be up for a few 'easy' rides. Plus anyone up for a Surrey Hills ride sometime soon?

Join up on one of the Forum rides as it is so difficult to find the 'good stuff' even with a map or gps. Plus it's much more fun with the Swinley regulars. Not that I can find any of the trails myself even after absolutely loads of rides up there!!!!

Maybe the one for me....although I may be taking someone out on an 'introduction to mtb'ing' ride in the Surrey Hills next weekend.

Just ordered all the bits + second battery pack as per instructions.

Kerr I am up for a ride this weekend - the rain we have had should make the trails a bit more sticky. Let me know if you are planning one. I would love to do a night right when mine delivered.

Not sampled Swinley at night before but it would be FUN! My nightriding has mostly been around my neck of the woods (using Airbike SSC P7 Everlight on the bars and a Fenix headlight) puts a whole new perspective on trails that you think you know well.

About a week Kerr.

Once you get it, the batteries will have a little charge in already, but to get the full effect (sun.gif) they'll need to be charged up.

Then, the nightworld will be your oyster (at least for an hour and a half or so!) biggrin.gif

gone quite on here.
Hope your all having a great weekend.

Went over to swinley late yesterday afternoon.
Blimey! in the space of 4 days the braking bumps in the trails from the clubhouse are now more like staircases. Looks like its got hammered during sat morning.

Is anyone interested in Wednesday?
