The Gower is on my list to do before the end of year. With recent posts suggesting it's overdue for a few other people to do/return maybe it could be scheduled in as an official MTBB ride before the weather starts to turn too much?

If you do go don't miss the best descent in the area that which runs down the Northern end of the Rhosilli Down, close to the cliff on your left. Push up the steps at the South end then once you have ridden most of the Down get over to the cliff path as soon as you can see it is the start of the final downhill section. Otherwise you miss riding the lovely clifftop bit. The end section to the Caravan Park at Hillend is a lot steeper than it looks on the video.

Matt, who rides camera on this old clip does mention the Big JC and use the F word on the descent, which attests to it's superior quality!

I'll get around to posting this one soon.

Wooooooooooohooooooooooo!!!!!

I'm off back to Gods Country on Saturday for the long weekend...
Think I might save the Gower ride until the Tuesday though, to avoid all those pesky tourists walking all over the trails! :sneaky:

Can't wait to try that Decent into Llangennith Gareth - looks amazing.
last time I rode on Rhosilli down I ended up upside down in a gorse bush. Ouch! :vmad:

Now just need to pray for sunshine!

will post some pics next week (hopefully of me actually upright on the bike)

Jess x

The descent into Llangennith is lots of fun, just don't miss the right fork/turn around halfway down or you'll spoil it.

For those who haven't seen it: Llangennith descent

Location on map. The descent runs SW from here then turns right up the bridleway heading West. 8)

Thought I'd post a higher quality version of that last clip and so here it is.

Things have moved on in four years and broadband means it makes sense to have a bigger file with better quality. The sound in particular was a bit wacky at the higher level of compression. See what you think, it's two and a half times the file size at 24Mb. :?:

Don't forget to run full screen!
