Hi Guys,

Going to Penmachno trails very soon and had been having real trouble trying to find the official trail cards. Found them now after some time searching so thought these might be useful for others.

Have also included postcode and co-ordinates in the document titles for ease.

looks good to me. Enjoy yourself. However be warned I have taken my mudguards off so now the weather is DOOOOOOOOMED! LOL

Just need to wash the car now and that'll put an end to this lovely weather for the rest of the year! biggrin.gif

OK OK... putting the mudguards back on for Friday... can't be too carefull.

As for the car... well as it hasn't had a wash since Christmas I guess another week wont harm? unsure.gif

I'll resolve to do it over Easter though as I'm doing 3 oil and filter changes over that weekend.

Oh, just a by the way sort of a comment.

When you get to loop two you be pointed down a fire road and will come to a turn off on the right. Have faith in the signing as it must be at least 1K to the turning, but when you drop-in it's a cracker of a single track. Enjoy yourself. I'll be thinking of you when I'm dragging my sorry arse through wing tanks. banghead.gif

Anyone seen or heard from SJJ?
Has he had a navigation failure?
Was the car stolen and he's still riding home?
Has he had a mechanical and is currently "pushing out"?
T'internet failure?

Is it time to get worried?

ha ha @rod

Sorry been really busy and struggled to get on to update. Had some good news from being busy though - sold my house yesterday (in principle - agreed price etc) so thats all good.

Penmachno - Had a cracking day out, weather was perfect, sun blazing with slightly cool temperature and minimal wind (cheers rod it did the trick putting your mud guards back on - I think you may have to leave them on permanantly!).

Did both loops and although was flagging near the end Im glad I did. I can totally understand what people were talking about when they said this trail was more of a real mountain biking experience and that it is more technical than some of the other places I have been to.

The trail had everything, technical climbs, descents, rocky sections, wood sections, steps, berms (although not many there were some) and some fantastic views. Was great stopping near the top in an open section looking out enjoying the views whilst having lunch. I surprisingly, really enjoyed the wet sections, the thrill of flying over wet slippery rocks at speed whilst getting sprayed with refreshing cool water was ace. The last bit of singletrack was awesome, the steep rocky descent/drop was a bit scary but it was worth it and talk about finishing on a high (as that last section basically spits you out at the car!) I definitely felt a boost in confidence after riding this trail and not coming off my bike.

Cheers for all your advice guys, made this an awesome day out.

Now, where to go next lol
