Haven't heard anything but I would be surprised if anything was planned as it's National Trust property and they already have a vistor centre, cafe and loads of parking in Cardingmill Valley. Just seen this on STW. Blazing Bikes MTb centre - http://www.blazingbikes.co.uk/ |

QUOTE Shit I've just realised it's Haloween tomorrow You do realise that this is a fancy dress ride don't you? its the Long Mynd .... you can finish whenever you want What he says We could be finished by 2pm but who knows? If we weren't going to be and you needed to finish it's easy enough for you to cut a bit out and get back to Church Stretton, hope that helps Blazing Bikes MTb centre - http://www.blazingbikes.co.uk/ Yep, see post 138 above! -------------------- |

Great news, maybe if we all get there at 9.30 maybe we could start out earlier to make sure we don't miss anything out We'll do our best but some of us (me included) are late starters so we'll have to see how things go in the morning. If people want to do Minton Batch more than once and time is getting tight for you I'll take you to the start of the last descent so that you don't miss it and get back to Church Stretton in time for you to leave at 2pm. -------------------- |

Superfantastic ride today guys! Great to see everyone, especially the surprise visitor Pikie
Enjoyed every one of the descents, great to do something completely different from our usual stuff. Definitely would like to get back again soon and have a few runs down Minton Batch, the boards have improved that no end Well impressed by the rigid riders...whilst waiting for goog to fix (his now, far too regular, obligatory ride puncture heh heh) I was watching Mick make easy work of picking lines down Minton Batch. I'm be sure that I'd never be accurate enough for a rigid Just called in to A & E where John was having his leg dressed by a nurse in fancy dress I'm surprised he didn't need stitches, it looks a reet state when he did it! -------------------- Bunny Blog

Glad you enjoyed it, yes it was good to see Mark again Making easy work of Minton Batch Maybe John did need stitches but when a nurse in fancy dress is dealing with you what can you expect Oh yes John blagged a dressing and bandage for you Mark, I'll leave it in the car and let you have it next time I see you, hopefully not another 12 months For those that are interested, distance was just over 17 mile (how do you convert km to miles Goog -------------------- |

Well done Mick for organising a thoroughly enjoyable ride - You even got the weather spot on !!! Shame to loose John and Chris midway - I think John was just to worried about those cute little Trick 'o' Treaters, so thats why he crashed - so he could leave early - |

Well done Mick for organising a thoroughly enjoyable ride - You even got the weather spot on !!! A bit too much pushing really but unfortunately that's the nature of the Long Mynd especially on a SS -------------------- |

Only just got your text asking if I was coming, Mick. Sorry for not replying, had my phone off all day thats a pretty poor show ! you obviously knew you weren't coming and could of said on the forum last night or pulled out of the ride long before that if you weren't sure about going its a good job it wasn't a ride arranged by myself because I'd be really miffed if I had to wait around for someone who CBA to turn up or be bothered to let me know |

Thanks for the slightly shorter ride today.
Thanks to Mick for leading so well and for coming to visit me at A&E Thanks to Pikie for dressing the wound, the nurses gave you 10/10 for such a good job. Thanks to Chris (the forum stalker who doesn't post up) who was going to bail after the next climb anyway and guiding me back. No thanks to Pikies puncture problems which tempted Chris and I to come back up that climb again No thanks to all the sheep for the shit I'm going to have to clean off tomorrow. No thanks to summer xc rear tyre for washing out when the front fat wheel gripped so bloody well on the fast stuff. Most of all thanks to Dawn and Dawn at A&E for the laugh and doing such a good job and not needing to stich me up INJURY PICTURE I'll have a play with the other photos later on. I will be back -------------------- ![]() Meaty, Beefy, Big & Bouncy |
