Hi, does anyone know where you can get the really sticky rubber strings used in BICYCLE tubeless repair kits (specifically the WELDTITE one) separately from?
The ones on ebay seem to all be for cars, tractors and motorbikes - i.e much too big to fit through the eye of the needle in the kit (it's tight enough as it is!) Seems daft to buy a whole new kit when the plugs run out - and yes I have been cutting them in half. Ta in adv. |

Can't comment on Weldtite. But, I can personally vouch for the Genuine Innovations ones.
![]() This is the one that comes with the tool. They do a 'refill', which is (obviously!) a pack of even more strips. edit: link to refill kit @ Tredz -------------------- NB: It's unlikely I'll see your reply. So, please PM me if you need a response.

We got a load from of all places a golf course!
They use them to fix the golf buggy tyres. -------------------- Jaws was never my scene and I don't like Star Wars

Theyre great. Theye even fix punctures without having to deflate the tyre if the puncture is big enough that the sealant can only hold partial pressure which saves loads of time pumpingthe tyre back up.

We use a similar thing for roadside tyre repairs, surprisingly good.

Yup, they're brilliant and as far as I've experienced, permanent, lasting the life of the tyre.
(I can only speak for the Weldtite one which uses rubber cement as opposed to the genuine innovations one which works dry - I think) I ride alone alot and a big puncture really gushing sealant is quite alarming in the middle of nowhere, but these really work. |
