I bought something similar last year with rubber straps, TBH they weren't so good as the rubber straps kept snapping. This velcro version would be a much better solution agree.gif

Works for me.

Get two, and use one as a helmet mount...

Q: How does he stay upright at that speed?
A: He doesn't. Well not always. And the consequences have been horrendous!

I use the velcro and rubber mounts above only on the helmet. It takes two to mount an MTE P7 securely and I cut some of the rubber block off one to level the light given the shape of my helmet.

hur he said helmet smile.gif

i think how the torch is mounted depends on your preferred angle of beam compared to how you are facing forward i guess, its all about trial and error and once you find that sweet spot, half a ton of duct tape smile.gif

That is the $50,000 dolar question, well at least the $31.55 question! whistling.gif

My best guess is yes, more or less. None of these lights are built to a %100 quality guarantee but as you can get two for such an incomparably low price of £40 it's definitely worth the risk. I'd buy one, or indeed two.

I just put an order in for 2X MTE SSC P7 900-Lumen 2-Mode LED Flashlight (18650)
I will let you know when I get them.
I lost one of mine in the snow last night, and it was the one that wasn't faulty, hence the two new ordered rolleyes.gif

Ok just got my 2 SSC-P7,s It is a 2 mode torch, but it is a different switch cycle. one click for high, then a click for off, then a click for low, then a click for off. The older SSC-P7 goes from off, to high to low back to off with 3 clicks, this new torch takes 4 clicks to cycle high, low, off.
Other than that, the light is mighty bright and now it comes with a wrist lanyard. It is also about 2-3mm shorter, come to think of it is is a slightly different design. think.gif

Ok from what I can tell the two are different. the old is marked as an SSC P7-C the new ones are SSC P7. What is the difference, both are marked max 900 lumens?

Correction on the switch cycle. apparently its 1 click on then half click for hi/low toggle, then a full click to turn off.

I found it a bit fiddly at first, once I got used to less pressure to toggle I was ok.
