righty... just had the OK from the loerly Sian, so it would appear that I'm in.
Time and meeting point still required though. EDIT Found it - Meet at 10am in the leisure centre carkpark £3 a day (Ithink) start at 10:30 sharp. Rhayader Leisure Centre North Street Rhayader Powys LD6 5BU Doug, you will have to navigate, you know what I'm like at directions. Where is Nik coming from and does he want a lift to come too? Rod -------------------- Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud!
Don't trust government (I'm bitter and twisted over the CROW & NERC BILL) (Mountain biking will be next incidentally) NO, you're OK, I insist YOU go first. ... Told you it couldn't be done! |

Where is Nik coming from and does he want a lift to come too? Rod There's a few of them going to Degla plus Nik has a phobia of long mountain climbs. -------------------- |

eh up... I'm sure someone during this post made the comment which included the word "easy"
Are you saying this is not an "easy" ride after all? Doug, YHM -------------------- Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud!

QUOTE Are you saying this is not an "easy" ride after all? It's all relative, it's an easy ride for me, we often go back up the huge final descent to add to it but you're almost back at the town where we park at that point so could quit then. I would say it's a 'Medium'. -------------------- Get proper instruction www.mountainbikeinstruction.co.uk

Much as I love this ride, after a bit of PM banter between Rod and myself I've reluctantly decided that I am not really ready for this ride after Bringewood even with tomorrow off work. I was intending to make the route much easier by takeing the road route round to the bottom of the gully then push up for a play whilst you guys did the loop again. I was then going to ride up to the last dam and miss out the Roman Camp crossing by riding around the other side of the reservoir to get to the start of the final track. TBH it's a long way for a compromised ride. I'll be doing a social paced Degla with Nik and a few others but will definitely be coming back to this classic ride later in the year.

Ah bugger it... gonna bomb out along with the Dougster. Save it for a lovely warm (20deg + ) sunny day latter in the year.
I have issued a summons to myself that this year I will do a few forum rides and indeed get out and about more. Appologies for letting you down but it's going to be "next time" for me. Thanks all. R -------------------- Every Silver Lining Has a Cloud!
