Despite a little rain overnight, it was still good out there today and the damp has provided a bit more grip on the loose bits.

First experience of mud though in a very long time. Not much, and still the usually permanently muddy sections are dry.

Great Ride,

Thanks to Jambalaya for leading, think we got the best of the weather!

Big thanks to Maj for letting me ride his bike, have fixed my seat post, was a case of me not servicing it and a bolt came loose inside.

Be aware that Barry Knows Best is closed tomorrow.

Plenty of other options to ride though.

Would go but doing a BR Swinley ride now.

Note that the local church folk get irritated with people parking there, especially on a Sunday. Give it a go but they may have a moan. Always find Westcott a hassle to park and they don't make you welcome.

I've yet to work out a good parking spot round Westcott way. Just have to find what you can.

Westcott villagers will post a note on your car asking you to park somewhere else next time , they do provide a map smile.gif. At weekend it is best to park elsewhere, there is a carpark towards Dorking. If I want to ride Leith at the weekend I tend to park in Holmbury and ride up Leith via Greenlands Way.

Enjoy the ride, I'm nursing sore legs after 2 days in Peak District, doing a very short ride today !
