should you be able to select all 9 gears from the middle chain ring or 1 2 and 3 from the first chain ring 4 5 and 6 from the second chain ring and so on and so fourth or should you be able to select all gears regardless of what chain ring you are on? whats the correct setup iz confuzed wacko.gif

I can get all ring to all cassette combinations on mine but if you set up with the middle ring up front first and use that as your start point and get all cassette gears from there it will be a good start. Making sure your front selector is set to the middle ring of course.

Yes, you should be able to select any cog from any ring but extreme combinations will drop your chain easily on the granny ring and cause rapid wear due to poor chainline. I always like to be able to use them though as I'm not smart enough to avoid them all the time and a shorter chain would result in breakages if you try to use big-big. whistling.gif

thx guys got gears sorted next job seatpost my ones a little high and its at the lowest position if you know what i mean the seat post is to big time to brake out the hacksaw
