Hi, for once im asking how to do some thing unsure.gif

Got the misses some new avid brakes, Front hose is way too long, got bleed kit and every thing.

What I as hoping to do was remove the old olive and reinsert once the hose is cut to lenght. Can this be done as I have got it all in peices when I relised I can't pull the factory fitted out and no obvious way?

Is it a new ovlive job? big pain as no LBS round here will stock them.

New olive as they deform and won't come off the old bit of hose

TWS is correct. When tightening the union the oive deforms, expanding outwards and crushing into the pipe making it neigh-on impossible to remove and keep it in any usable form. When you get Avid brakes you generally get a spare olive and insert with the unit, have you checked the box? (I also got spares when I got my bleed kit.)
But perhaps I was just lucky with the suppliers?

OH COCK.

Bleed kit is not offical as it was 5, (with fluid)
Got the brakes very cheap (still new) wink.gif

Looks like a 30 mile round trip to get some, why do they make things so complicated, theres no need.

Cheers guys.
