Is anyone doing Penmachno or Llandegla on Friday?

Don't trust government (I'm bitter and twisted over the CROW & NERC BILL) (Mountain biking will be next incidentally) NO, you're OK, I insist YOU go first. ... Told you it couldn't be done! |

Is anyone doing Penmachno or Llandegla on Friday? See the reply in "Beginners' Questions" Rod. Looks like me and Chris (Corsetts), 10.00am, Penmachno car park. Tony -------------------- Q: How does he stay upright at that speed?
A: He doesn't. Well not always. And the consequences have been horrendous! |

Oh - I'll also have a rather snazzy orange and grey jersey too. Chris has confirmed his attendance, and rehtaew is gonna be ertga. Any more for any more??? Work can manage without my input for a couple of days I'm sure Anyone else want to join the intrepid band in to deepest, Suniest, warmest Wales? If you've not done 'Machy before remember there are no facilities within a mile or two so bring what you need including water. Any ideas whether to do the full route or the original? I've not done the new link and I've heard mixed reports from WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEee it's GREAT! to hmmm, not sure if it is worth the effort or not. Which you will agree, are poles apart? cheers fellas, enjoyed that Yep, me too Rod - and I reckon Chris had a good time too, even if it was a little outside his usual riding experience It was good that the rain stayed away, even if the wind did make it feel like winter in some of the exposed spots Its always nice to fit faces to names from the forum, and we should try to meet at Llandegla some time soon. Cheers for the pics. Tony -------------------- Q: How does he stay upright at that speed?

Thanks for your time guys, great company and a very scenic ride
QUOTE I reckon Chris had a good time too, even if it was a little outside his usual riding experience Yup, it was a tad different to nicely grassed parks and tarmac I have to admit Once I'd got used to the idea that the bike was simply going to break up and I'd be maimed or killed and resigned myself to it, it wasn't as bad as I feared. Although, my heart rate on the climb of 156bpm and 177bpm on the descent was a bit of a giveaway Actually, the day completely rekindled my enthusiasm for MTBing, I was drifting away from it and doing lots of road miles but I'll be out on the MTB now as much as possible. I spent most of the day looking at full sussers on-line though TBH Here's a couple of snaps I took on the route. ![]() ![]() ![]() Llandegla sounds good to me Cheers Chris -------------------- Racing snakes, its not big and its not clever !!!
