Hi Two Days ago I updated my HTC Desire HD phone and now my GPS doesn't work , I'm with Vodafone not sure if effects other Providers , everything was great and I was getting set this weekend to review a good few bike apps and pick one to use , got a handle bar mount for the phone , put it on my work bike and no GPS Locks at all FFS ...

Previous to the update my Sat Nav work flawlessly and I really use it alot in my Van at work , I gave my Sat Nav away last week lol !!!..

So if you have a similar setup maybe worth waiting before doing the next Android update .. Was looking forward to testing it out on Sunday sad.gif ..

I applied that update to mine as soon as it appeared (T-Mobile). Can't say I had any problems. Mine is SIM-free/unlocked (not rooted), not sure if that matters.
Have you tried the usual I.T. fixes for problems (turn it off, then on again)?!? It's worth pulling the cover fro the battery and doing a proper hard-reboot - remove cover, wait 10-20secs, re-fit, boot.

Tell me more about this bar mount!! I'm interested.

Yeah tried all that but thanks anyway , I think you prob on as you have a clean unlocked phone , plus this might be just a Vodafone problem same happened to my mate .

Ah the Bar Bracket I got from Ebay for £4.98 got my mate to try it 1st lol on his Motorbike he gave it the thumbs up so I purchased two smile.gif ..

FleBay HTC HD DESIRE BRACKET..

Seems to hold the phone very tight and I like it , just a shame no GPS , Dave

I have a htc desire with o2 that seems to be unbranded from day one.

I ran an update soon after I got it and it disable the wifi.

I had to make a goldcard and reflash it back to original version then put the original card back.

It seems unbranded HTCs seem to have a problem with updates supplied by networks.

Take it into vodofone and moan.

I had no real reason to update in hindsight and will leave it on the current version until i have a problem.
