The lever is all alloy construction. It requires a spray of lube from time to time as the 'internals' are open to the air. 

I did wish the lever sat lower to the bar. The durve of my bars point it upwards slightly.  Back to Gravity Dropper Seatpost review
I may try running it upside down on the left as under levers are easier to reach.
