Helmet Camera Video

Cwmcarn Downhill
I'll be the first to admit here that this wasn't the fastest ever run at Cwmcarn! Still, it clips along nicely and you get a great view of the course in glorious technicolour.

The Hidden Valley
A fairly fast descent with some tight turns and narrow spaced trees. One of the highlights of the The Penhydd trail at Afan Argoed (The Penhydd Trail was previously known as the 9Feet Trail)

The Nan Bield Pass

This very slow and technical descent in the Lake District is a real challenge all the way down. This is not one of our usual fast videos, I'd need a foot more of suspension for that!

The Dragon's Back

Coed y Brenin in Winter is just as good as it is in Summer. Some mud splashing adds to the fun on this clip of the Dragon's Back.

Big Doug in December

A quality 'descent' at Coed y Brenin which actually loses hardly any height at all.

Garburn Pass

A great descent to start the Three Passes Route (Garburn, Gatescarth and Nan Bield).

Gatescarth Pass

This one is a lot more dangerous than it looks. Just getting to the bottom of here without crashing is something of an achievement. When Paul shouts 'Alright Phil?' it's because Phil has just crashed in to the back of him!

Lake Syfydrin

A short, beautiful section of double on the fabulous outward bound section at Nant yr Arian. Some lovely solid rock on this one.

Nant yr Arian Mark of Zorro

The second half of the Mark of Zorro descent at Nant yr Arian. An old favourite this one.

Gower Hillend Descent

Great singletrack on the Gower Peninsula with a fabulous view. Paul (Pictured) was shocked how much steeper it was in reality than he had seen on our previous videos.

Gower Singletrack

Fast route down towards the Hillend at Gower. Compare to the one below titled Gower 2002, which we shot four years ago (clearly).

Nant yr Arian First Descent

The first descent at Nant yr Arian will open your eyes to this great riding location. Enjoy!

Black Run Glyncorrwg

Penmachno Final Descent

Starting with some tricky switchbacks and ending in another long fast straight this one is fast, if a little tiring by the end.

The Wall

At least I think it's the Wall... A brilliant day in January, we did so many descents via the Afan Adventures Uplift service we lost track.

Wharncliffe Woods

Wharncliffe Woods is full of incredible steep descents which are a blast but frankly look rubbish on helmet camera. There are also some mad fast routes through the trees like this one. I almost impaled myself on a broken branch to get this clip.

Helvellyn Descent of Lower Man

OK, so this is a slow one for the top two thirds, but viewers were complaining we never screened any technical stuff. So here it is, defying death on Helvellyn, it's pretty anyway. For the feature of this amazing ride see Hell's Ridge

High Street 'Lost' Singletrack

This section of Bridleway is easily missed as the obvious trail goes straight over the top. Take the time to find the less ridden left turn however and one of the longest natural descents around starts with this beauty.

Nidderdale North

A section of one of the hardest and best trails on the Nidderdale route.

Nidderdale Shooting House Drop

Finally the new light camera let us film some of the classic downhills on this epic ride. This is the last descent on the Nidderdale 1 ride, it usually takes six hours to get back to here! I edited the boring gate in the middle which is always closed DOH!

Matterdale Common

Not a spectacular video this one, just a beautiful trail which is a bit harder to go fast on than it looks. Lots of holes and rutts to catch out the unwary. Speeds up a lot towards the end.
