Ben: Excellent signage on the Black course. The Single Diamond indicates the difficulty grade (Scottish grading system). The Skull & Crossbones is a 'backup' international symbol telling you what to expect (not pirates - more tough riding with risk of injury). This section is the huge granite slab, "McMoab". Paul: Aptly named McMoab after its American cousin we could see lots of riders on our approach cautiously exploring this gigantic feature/playground.

Ed: Methinks the skull and crossbones is to show what was about to happen to Paul's head...

The black diamond proved its rating on this highly entertaining, technical slabbed area and was a great introduction to a kind of riding none of us had experienced before!
