Forest road turns left with trees now cleared, look out for post 26 on right. (there is also a rock with a white painted footprint). Go down singletrack, soon bears  sharp right and narrows, follow to rock garden exit on to forest road. Go straight across here and drop off on to riverside road immediately. Turn left and go across foot bridge.

Ride on up rocky doubletrack with great views to right, through two wooden gates.

Continue on to a left turn on to grassy singletrack marked with a white topped post with yellow arrow. 100 yards before dead end 'turning space'. STOP PRESS a large tree has fallen straight across the trail 100 yards along the singletrack (before the first right turn) Don't be put off, just hop over and keep following the trail down to the plunge pool.

This is the plunge pool singletrack, Warning do not fall off, steep drops to side of trail, dips over small stream then turns right, gets narrow and steep on way down to double switchback and collapsed footbridge. Easily crossed except during rare flash floods.

Over footbridge, follow as trail passes the ant hills (big piles of pine needles) do NOT disturb. Trail becomes Ant Trail, warning do not fall off! Steep drop to left. Follow down to road and go straight across.

Trail descends to second larger plunge pool, cross footbridge and go up short steep climb (granny gear) to a right turn on to forest road (Post 41). Continue along forest road to junction with tarmac.

After bridge go left on to tarmac and then take forest road fork to right, 100 yards later. Follow round to Tarmac road, go straight on (right) along tarmac and follow up steep tarmac climb. Take singletrack off to the left 3/4 way up.

Follow singletrack until it reaces a stony forest road, look for singletrack on opposite side of road.

Follow overgrown singletrack along, then descends left down towards river, cross rock garden and follow trail up in to picnic area. Go right up rooty climb at far end of picnic area, then immediately left between bollards and up bank straight ahead, on to main road.
